Box of 20 PCGS Dollar type set...First coins purchased today (first post).......end of year progress

The list is original from my Feb. 09 Post and I've added the coins I purchased or made this year (all PCGS) I think I'll finish what I can of the Dollar Type Registry and add a few more in 2010 (No Gobrecht) and try to add a Layfayette, gold, or Hawaii, at some point. I'm not disappointed but I thought I'd get further with the set this year. Too many other distractions I guess. I never seem to be able to stay that focused.
I think a box of 20 type collection of Dollars is within my ability and just for uniformity, I'd like to keep it in PCGS holders. Mostly because I'm most not comfortable buying Trade and earlier dollars raw. I'm also pretty sure I can get down to #18 without too much trouble.... but then it turns into a real long term collecting goal with some options for what goes in.
What would you put in a box of 20 type set? What would coin 19 and 20 be for you?
1. Prexy dollar.............2007-D MS66 Madison
2. Sacagawea.............2009-D MS65

Yes on the Gobrecht, definitely.
Rather than an ASE, I'd consider a Proof silver Ike. That would provide a nice contrast with your Unc Ike.
Wonderful idea for a box of 20!
I would keep the Gobrecht Dollar and the Pattern Dollar. Sure, they may be lofty goals, but they fit the set and would make it a major accomplishment.
My pattern dollar is in my sig line.
20. Silver Eagle
I'd replace the proof Morgan with a Gobrecht.

Instead, I would include a Bryan/Lesher/Pedley-Ryan Dollar. Although not legal tender, these are historic artifacts relating to the Gold and Silver controversies of our coinage.
<< <i>19. Spanish milled dollar, man! >>
Absolutely!
Why didn't I think of that?
1. Presidential dollar
2. Sacagawea
3. SBA
4. Ike
[1-4 should be min 70 or error]
5. Peace
6. Morgan
7. Trade
8. Seated Dollar
9. Gobrecht
10. Draped/Heraldic Bust
11. Flowing Hair
12. 1793 8 Reales Spanish Dollar
13. $1 Gold Liberty Head
14. $1 Gold Indian Princess
15. Lafayette Dollar
16. Louisiana Purchase 1 Gold Dollar
17. Lewis and Clark 1 Gold Dollar
18. McKinley Memorial 1 Gold Dollar
19. Grant Memorial 1 Gold Dollar
and finally...
20. 1836 J-67 Gobrecht Gold Dollar Pattern
OR
20. Beltcher NC Dollar
OR
20. California Octagonal 1 Gold Dollar
OR
20. Any number of historical so-called dollars... Lesher, Bryan, Gold Basis, etc...
EDIT: WHOOPS! Sorry, I guess I really didn't take note of the PCGS part. I realize my list contains pieces PCGS won't certify.
I would include the Gobrecht, and could see going either way on the Spanish milled since it was legal tender but not minted here.
You could also consider 3 gold dollars vs the one listed. (Liberty Head, Indian Princess Small Head, Indian Princess Large Head)
If you get this far and still have empty slots, consider an ASE and/or blank planchet, the latter of which may take some time to track down if you go for the 90% silver.

PCGS does certify Lesher Dollars.
<< <i>Good luck finding 1-4 in 70, unless you are searching for satin finish. >>
Oh I agree... I'd probably error them all. But you could build them out in proof quite easily.

<< <i>19. Spanish milled dollar, man! >>
Absolutely!
Why didn't I think of that?
I agree. I feel like an idiot for that and not thinking of the Bechtler.

Yeah, but...four different Eisenhower Dollars? Really?
1) Spanish milled dollar
2) Continental dollar
3) Flowing Hair
4) Draped Bust, Small Eagle
5) Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle
6) Gobrecht, 1836, J-60, No Stars Obverse
7) Gobrecht, 1838-1839, With Stars Obverse
8) Liberty Seated, No Motto
9) Liberty Seated, With Motto
10) Morgan Dollar
11) Trade Dollar
12) Lafayette Dollar
13) Peace Dollar, high relief
14) Peace Dollar, low relief
15) Eisenhower (silver)
16) Eisenhower (Bicentennial, silver)
17) SBA Dollar
18) Sacagawea, "Cheerios" reverse
19) Sacagawea, regular reverse
20) Presidential Dollar
Doing gold would require another three to eight spaces ... alternatively you could get rid of the Spanish milled dollar, the Lafayette, and the Cheerios, and replace those three with the three types of regular issue gold dollars.

I'd skip the variants of some of these pieces, like the Gobrecht, Peace, Ike and Sacagawea, and replace them with a whole new type, like a Lion Dollar (circulated in the colonies) and some gold.

I like this idea,I'm about 90% there now and been woundering what I should do next. Sounds like a good thing.

Also maybe one modern commemorative dollar.
