POLL: Gold - Would you rather?

The scenario: You are in possession of 50 (fifty) 1/10 Oz American Gold Eagles. For these purposes, "you" means the actual you, with your very own precious metal goals and desires. Someone has offered to trade you, and in exchange for your 50 coins, will give you 5 (five) 1 Ounce American Gold Eagles, and $400 in cash.

Would you make the trade?

Please explain why or why not in the comments.

I'd make that trade in a heartbreat, brother. I'd take the $400, add a little, and buy a half oz eagle. image
Every man is a self made man.
  • Take the offer? You bet. Gold's knocking on the 1k an ounce door; that cash is an 8% giveaway.

    Go for it
  • The small coins typically retail at a premium, so the exchange sounds like a wash. If I was motivated to buy the 1/10 coins in the first place (which I am not), I'd probably keep them.

I prefer the larger coins anyway...
I'd rather have a 5oz bar to be honest.

At todays prices. You could sell the 1/10th's quickly at $120 per [ under any online currrent price] and be $600 ahead of the $400....so if you have 50 you want to Trade for 5 OZ and $400 Fiat let me know. I'm trading image

I didn't see a selection for guns and ammo.

So like 99% of this board, I was outraged and didn't vote.

The $400 juice is for stocking up on guns and ammo; or at least for ammo for your gun(s)
