Grades are in (1971-S Ikes)...

A while back I picked up another batch of 1971-S Ikes and found a cluster of 23 DDO-004/DDR-021 varieties.

I sent them in about a month ago and the grades posted today.

    Are there any Peg Legs or S/S coins hidden in the submission?

    Nope.

    These were all 23 of the DDO-004/DDR-021 Ikes from that cluster.

    The S/S and FPLs were in a different submission since they were attributed and these do not "qualify" to be attributed yet.

    Did you "see the grade coming" on that 67? Nice!

    Congrats on the grades as you've got some nice one's!

    For those that are unaware, the DDO-004/DDR-021 varieties are some of the BEST DDO/DDR combo's in the IKE Silver Business Strike Series and those 66's should be some really nice examples. The doubling on the obverse is very similar to the doubling on the 1971-S Proof FS-106 coins which I think is very dramatic!

    The reverse doubling is true Class 2 Rotated Hub Doubling most notable on UNITED where the letters neatly overlap each other!

    Quite a phenomenal combination!
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Dennis, in all truth I really did not look too close on these. After I confirmed that they were DDO/DDR I was going to submit them all anyway and just basically ran out of time.

    It was quite a surprise though considering that my luck at submissions has been rather bad lately.
