Just picked this up for $12 as a BIN on ebay. I think I might have done ok. What think you?

You possibly paid market price for the coin perhaps more if postage fees are added in.

For $12, I didn't think I could too wrong. Seems like there are quite a few of this date available out there, but any that are in this condition are priced 2-3 times what I paid.
I was just looking for a good Geo II without having to pay too much. I think I succeeded. Unless I find some problem that isn't evident in the pics, I'm Happy!

You got a nice quality, 355 years old copper coin at only $12. Regardless of catalog value, I think it's a pretty good buy. You will certainly enjoy that coin more than you would have enjoyed those 12 dollars
I also believe that the European coin market has a great potential. Look what TPG's have done for the US coin market the last 20 years. I believe that - as slabbing of european coins get more common - there will be a repricing of European coins. Remember that Europe has the world's largest economy (Bigger than the US economy), and you won't find a US copper from 1754 in that grade at only $12.
