In today's economic climate, you don't have to spend a lot to still have fun in numismatics!

Just wanted to share my most recent find, on it's way to me across the Atlantic. I was excited to find such a neat piece of numismatic history, especially considering the timeperiod in which it was published, just a few years after the coronation of Queen Victoria.
It is neat seeing that in the third picture, an early owner wrote in the time period of each ruler. While rare book collectors shy away from this stuff, as numismatists, this is often the same type of thing we do today; penciling in details, notes and auction results in our RedBook or Krause books. I find it very cool to see that someone was very serious about collecting, and probably read this book cover to cover.
Printed in 1844, this is one cool little book for $12! who says you can't have fun without spending a lot of money in coin collecting these days!?
