1972 DDO

How many 1972 DDO (The big One) are known? How does it compare to the 55 DDO?

Will we see the appreciation of the 72 similar to the 55? Thoughts, comments, etc etc etc

I can't tell you exact numbers, but I think there are multiples more of the 1972 doubled die than the 1955. While I think the 1972 and 1955 DDOs will continue to appreciate, the 1972 will never appreciate as much as the 1955 because the 1955 is more dramatic and popular.

I believe that it is about double in numbers.

Actually, more 55/55's have been graded by PCGS than 72/72's.

If these figures are representative of whats out there, the 72 could possibly see better appreciation in the next 10 years or so.

But due to the less dramatic doubling, the 55/55 will always be the King for DDO Lincolns.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
  • More than the numbers is the "wow" factor of the 55 DDO. When it comes to errors, the more dramatic the better.
