based on the fact that they had a round of lay-offs, I can't see them hiring ancient coin experts to start this kind of service. I'm only speculating, but i'll bet i'm correct.
I have never bought any ancients because I was always fearful they were fakes. I would start collecting these if NGC can keep this up. I feel that PCGS will follow suit.

we'll see, but i doubt if PCGS follows suit. They seem content to focus on US coins, and leave slabbing the world and ancient rarities to NGC. It would be good for competition though if they got involved.
I know most folks here use PCGS and some NGC (Ancients and World)... but I LOVE the ANACS holders... I really like the way they look... I know most folks say they are inferior(company and grading wise) to PCGS... I haven't sent anything to them yet but I may try to see if I like it...

You and me both. Does ANACS have online registry sets? PCGS does, but only accepts PCGS certifed coins, and NGC does, but accepts only PCGSor NGC certifed coins. Perhaps if ANACS has one, maybe they would accept all three?
NGC would have done better to have copied ANACS holders, rather than the route they took with the recent holder, though I must say, anything would beat their old fatties.

they laid off around 15 awhile back. Don't know the percentage.
