Minimum PSA Grade for Variation Cards and therefore Set Registry

I had to tie it to the Set Registy so I wouldn't get yelled at.

Anyway.

I went to the local card shop today and went through a 700 box count of 72 Topps Baseball Cards. I only came away with three cards that I thought would grade PSA 7 or better.

But I did run across a bunch of 72 Cubs variations cards, with the green on the bottom of the letters instead of the yellow. I don't think that they would grade any better than 5 or 6.

So, I was wondering if it was worth to buy them and send them in for grading purposes?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

    Dale,

I know what you mean about getting yelled at...I'm walking the fence with my last to posts and I'm expecting Vargha to come crashing down on me any minute now.

    About your question...

Even if you don't get them graded, you should still pick them up. I had a Bohman (sp) and put it on eBay raw EX-MT condition and it sold for $9.75 about a year ago. I didn't even know it was an error until two months later the 72 registry went live. The buyer loved the card!!!
