It's a poor picture of a fine coin.

In fact, I see serious issues in most of the pictures on that website.

Someone is pushing the contrast well over what it should be; they should be using better lighting instead of relying on image processing.

Whenever I see colorful saturated pixels in the darker areas of the coin, it's an indication of overprocessing.


I'm sure i'll catch flak for my criticism. But I know good photos and I know ones that ought to be better, darnit.
