Tiffany's are printed on white paper rather then the normal brown.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Who is Auburn playing in the Frank Thomas RC? It looks like the guy is wearing a uniform that is the ugly love child of a 98 Devil Rays alternate jersey and the mid 80s Home Astros jersey.
I'm not a fan of parallel cards of the base set. Whether it is Topps Tiffany's high gloss fronts and white card stock, Topps Gold or whatever other stunt they use to sell cards. Can't stand it.
<< <i>The Tiffany is on white card stock with a glossy coating and is limited to ~2000 to ~5000 depending on the set. >>
Is there a good place to go to find the print run on the sets? I am specifically interested in the Topps Traded Tiffany (Greg Maddux) Thanks, >>
The fat Baseball Beckett has all of the print runs for the Tiffany sets. If I recall Topps let the presses run in 1987. >>
This is true...I should have clarified for 1987...is was much higher than 5000...I don't know the exactly number, but probably around 25k??? The Standard Catalog and the Beckett Big Book both have the runs...I have neither at hand.

I think it was much higher than 25K, at least for the base set. The Traded could have been less. I wished Topps kept printing the sets. I thought they were worth collecting.
Tiffany sets were not an in-pack parallel. They were released only as boxed sets. Topps also released Bowman Tiffany sets for a couple of years. Those too have quite limited print runs (5000 or less).

I doubt you can see much of a difference in these...the backs are easiest to distinguish...

Is the opposing team's name airbrushed out? Is that guy's face airbrushed out? Or is it just crappy, grainy protography?
The 1985 topps tiffany seal set is nice. You have competition as another one is on sale this week too.
If you get a decent offer, SELL and SELL. The final sale price of the other set should give you an idea
of current market value.
Good luck.

Yes, both his face and the word "Tulane" have been airbrushed out.

For clarification..."Tulane" would be present on the white upper section of the dude's jersey.
