1930-A 5 Mark Zepplin ... smoeone got smoething past PCGS?

Just curious what the opinions are on this one ...

1930 A 5 Mark Zepplin PCGS PR 63

I have seen nicer proofs for about 2/3rds the price and this one looks like a good candidate for NCS as bad as it is.

    Hmmm... looks funky.

BTW: The seller's coin images are excellent and look very familiar.

Come on guys, forget the coin, look at the beautiful plastic. image

It's kind of sad lately, really ugly darkside coins are slipping into plastic with big prices. Don't get me wrong, I buy most of mine prepackaged, but the coin inside still has to be right.

Sorry.. there is no "no fuglies" policy in the PCGS grading guide. If it's not impaired and technically a 63 then that's it... the rest is matter of taste. I wouldn't touch it with someone else's credit card... someone else might.

You don't really expect a nice coin in a 63 holder, do you?

Gotta agree that it isn't a problem coin. But, it probably could use some conservation if you are into that.

It looks like it's got mildew growing on it. That could have happened after it was holdered.
