epson 4490 scanning question

I read some threads looking for a good scanner to buy, I went with the Epson Perfection 4490. My question is what is the best resolution for scanning cards to upload to ebay?

I scan all my cards at 300dpi.

If ebay is hosting then 300 is plenty, if selfhosting and you want great scans go to 600, host on photobucket, and the scans will be great. Scan with the lid up so the background is black and the card really shows up nice.

I have the same scanner and can help if you have problems with it

Thanks! Great recommendation on the scanner btw, it really picks up the card in the holder. I did this one at 600, let's see if I can do this right

You should resize your scan to appr 400x 600ish. You may have to rescan your card if you "saved as". The scan in your photobucket acct is too small

I got it, but what I did was use the direct link with photobucket. I did resize it and that did work. Thanks for the help!
