Grace and Rainier III of Monaco 1966 10 franc
I bought this coin today at a local shop but cannot find it in Krause.
It has a bust of both on the obverse dated 1966,
The reverse says X Anniverary Marriage with (2) 10f on either side of crown
Is it a medal or a coin? Any help on this is appreciated.

This is a medal-coin that is listed in Krause's Unusual World Coins. You need to get that book as well as the other Krause catalogues.
Aidan.
This is really a gem though and I think I found it on numismaster under "unusual sources".
It says it is a spinks 1966 issues medallic coinage.
So is it a coin or medal? Also cannot tell if its a proof (1000 mintage) or a business strike ( 24,000 struck)
Either way I liked it commemorated their marriage.

This would have been technically legal tender, but the Monegasque Franc has now been replaced by the Euro since 2002.
Aidan.
Unusual World Coins lists it at $22 Unc (24000 minted) , $100 Proof (1000 minted), .7234 of an ounce of silver.
