Compare BCCG to PSA Grades

Ok, i have a few questions for some of the guys here:

What do you think a 7 PSA or 8 PSA would get graded as BCCG ?
How about an 8 (OC) PSA or 9 (OC) PSA get as BCCG ?
Does BCCG take into account when they grade something the centering of a card?
If it has not been tampered with (if you know the card is completely unaltered) what would a 9 BCCG or a 10 BCCG get as a PSA graded card?

Thanks

Seems to be a popular topic lately. My only two experiences were with BCCG 10 cards. Cracked them and subbed to PSA. One was a 10 and one a 9 but they were both relatively cheap modern football rookies.

Type BCCG in history and do a search.

    IMO BCCG is crap.

Your PSA 7 or 8 would likely get a BCCG 9

AS for how they grade OC cards I don't know.

    The BCCG 9 or 10 would likely get a 7, 8 9 or 10 at PSA.

    JMO.

    I could be wrong.

    Well yeah Steve..

A Bccg 9 says "near mint or better" right on the flip It's not intended as a "mint" card..

A Bccg 10 says "mint or better" on the flip..

The numerical grade does not carry the same meaning as your standard PSA grade..

    PSA 7 = near mint
BccG 7 = "very good or better"

    PSA 8 = NmMt
BccG 8 = exellent or better

    PSA 9 = mint
BccG 9 = near mint or better

    PSA 10 = Gem mint
BccG 10 = mint or better

I don't Like Bccg and think it's crud myself.. BUT the BccG 9 is not intended to carry the same condition standards as a PSA,SGC, or BGS 9

Dizzle I was trying to answer his questions he did not ask what a PSA 4 would get.

I think I was close no?

You were right on Steve, But you said "BccG was crap Your PSA 7 or 8 would likely get a BCCG 9"

In a perfect world that's what it should grade on a crossover since PSA 7 and BccG 9 are both near mint cards..

I know he didn't what a PSA 4 would get I was just giving examples of what a Numerical grade on a bccg flip means as it seems some think a Bccg 9 equals a mint card cause it says "9"

My understanding is BCCG is some form of Collector Club grading system and hence the cards are not graded as stringent as a BGS or BVG card would be. I would be very weary about a vintage card crack and resubmit to PSA being anywhere near the BCCG numerical grade. JMHO

As a rule of thumb you can expect more times than not, at least one /two grade drop from BCCG to BGS or PSA. Sometimes more, sometimes less.............certainly not on an even scale.

I've bought two or three BCCG 10s very cheaply and cracked them out and got 9s on them. They were nicely centered cards though. I've seen several BCCG 10s that are 80/20 OC.

I have seen BCCG 10's as bad as 75/25 centering and BCCG 9's as bad as 80/20

    im confused...

why would you want to cross anything into BCCG?

its drops in value tremendously when in their slab....

Selling to a novice? It's assumed by many that BCCG is really "Mint or better" when they are not always that.

My buddy bought a BCCG 10 1989 Fleer White Scribble and it came back a SGC 9. He's one of the lucky ones.

I purchased a BCCG 10 card, cracked it and sent it in to PSA for grading hoping for at least a 9. Got it back and it was PSA 8 NM-MT. You would be just as good buying a raw card.
