Danny Darwin pitched for 21 years and was fairly non descript. He was a starter, middle reliever and closer in any given season.

Definitely "boring" stats and personal achievements wise, but he saw plenty of action, ranking in the top 10 in appearances multiple times, and won a few World Series.

    Pretty good career.

Deacon McGuire is as good a choice as any. Twenty-six (26) in MLB.

    Jason Grimsley:

Trying to steal Albert Belle's corked bat out of the umpire's room.

Caught up in this HGH thing that seemed to get the ball rolling as far as the Roger Clemens/Andy Pettitte and the Mitchell Report was concerned.

Ed Kranepool (1962-1979, all with the Mets), without a doubt..

Edit: In addition to his lone All Star appearance in 1965 (he otherwise was never in the top 10 for anything), he was the NL's youngest player in 1962, if that qualifies for excitement, LOL!!

Actiually, I think SteveK still has his auto from back in '63 before he bolted for Philly...image
