Is there a way to tell from the outside whether or not one has a good chasnce at finding some DDOs in a mint sewn bag? I know they were found in February (I think), but is there a kjnown code or anything like that?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the ones that came out of bags were primarily in Florida and Pennsylvania. Here in Connecticut where the initial discovery was made they were found primarily in Brinks boxes. I found about a half dozen going through several boxes sourced from southern CT banks back in February of 1995.

I also recall many Coin World advertisers selling Mint sewn bags with late January and early February date stamps, and claiming they were the most likely to have the variety, but I cannot vouch for the veracity of those claims.

  • This is one variety I've never found searching rolls. I've also never found a 74-D DDO Kennedy. Neither of these are really that scarce either.

  • I could sell you a couple "p" DDO's and save your eyeballs the wear and tears....

I've got a '95d bag, and a few hundred in... none so far...

Anyone know the date and locations of the "d" DDO variety?

Nah, I've got ten already, but also have two mint sewn bags. Just wondering if they were worth opening.
  • I've posted this Before on the Forum. I Found 47 of the 1995 DDO's in one Day from Brinks Rolls back when they were first discovered. I Also bought MANY very Early date,Mint sewn Bags and never found any in the Bags. Just for those that don't realize it, The Mint bags were re-used and soo the Dates on the Bags were not always accurate. If it were a First time bag Chances were Better that it was Correct. I Had a Late February bag and a March 6th bag along with many others but never found any DDO's in the bags. Ray in Florida..
