A wear a Mel Fisher coin most of the time from the Atocha (1619 8 Reales)
In some languages, gold and money are the same word.
For example, I wear a baht necklace. It's an Asian style, usually high karat gold (22k or better). A baht is a unit of measure of precious metals, it's also the name of the unit of Thai currency.
Spanish treasure from the new world often took the form of "money chains". High karat gold chains, sometimes of great length and weight, whose unsoldered links corresponded in weight to coins of the realm, and which could be twisted off and used literally as money in transactions.

I'd have to sell my house to get me one of those!
I would be very worried about a snatch-and-grab, but I suppose the grabber would soon be tackled by the casino bouncers. You don't walk the streets in front of the casinos with that, right?!?
Also...that bling is sitting on a laptop.
Is that the LapTop Used For The Poofing? A very important and meaningful photo indeed!!!
Shiney gold coin bezeled under her collar
1854 was the date
And she just couldn't wait
To shine it up good. Did I holler ?

<< <i>Kind of depends on your meaning. Gold, silver, and copper coins and jewelry are really all branches of the same tree.

That's an awesome chain! I don't wear any type of jewerly, I believe its for females and Girly men only. lol
I do have a Silver Wash Quarter my Gma bought me when I was around 6-7 and staying with her for the summer in FL. Got it at the flea market for $2 I believe. Its a crude example, Not made like JJM posted but it was curved and has silver ring soldered onto it. Like I say, I don't wear it but I'll never get rid of it.
