Temple Tokens?

I'm useless for IDing these, but I did just find a neat thread on this subject over at CoinTalk.

The character in the bottom right pic is Aum - I know that because almost every other girl in college had it tattooed somewhere.

Definitely a neat thread. The vendor from whom I purchased them simply represented them as AR rounds from India. I have a few older temple tokens, so I had no misunderstandings about what I was purchasing.

I would assume the last two are in fact pure silver rounds, based on the "999" in Western numerals on the second one, and "999" in Indian numerals on the third one. The third one also seems to have a "date": 1788, though I'm not sure what calendar it's using. Do they both weigh 1 ounce? I thought temple tokens were normally smaller than that.

The first one appears to have an actual date, in Gujarat numerals: 18-9-89. This one also has the "aum" character, above the lad's head.

I did not weigh them personally.
However, the top one supposedly weighs 4.8 grams.
The next one - 10 grams
The last one - 22.9 grams.

I do not know how that works out in ounces.
