    I had never heard of this before.

    Colonial exhibition commemorative medals,such as this one.are very popular with the medal collectors in England.I know that this is definitely the case with the New Zealand exhibition medals that were issued right up until the New Zealand Centenary Exhibition in 1940.

    That's a pretty nice medal that you've got there.
