Ed's Elegant Coins in New Jersey

Has anyone bought anything from them or visited their stores in NJ? Just curious.

  • Sold some Morgan rolls to them several years ago. It went smoothly.

  • I have dealt with Ed for years and never had a problem with him.

He usually has a table at the Parsippany coin show too.
I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while!
  • Hey-- I actually live not to far from his newest location in Bayville, NJ. He also has locations in Shrewsbury and Howell. The new store is nice and in a small strip mall. He has many coins on display, but the majority of his "good" stuff is in his other locations. Last month I went in there to say hello, and I actually ran into Ed. (He is only there on Wednesdays). After talking for some time, he opened up his safe and showed me some of his better coins. I thought that was real nice of him due to the fact he was busy when I walked in. I have not purchased anything from him, but he did tell me that anything I want he can get. He also added that his other locations have better inventory. If you are in the area, stop by and say hell to him and his staff.
  • I stopped by the shop in Bayville on my way home from work yesterday. They dont have much in there at the moment. I was told that they are working on getting more inventory in that shop. I spoke with Charlie (who was behind the counter) for about 15 mins. Very nice guy and I do plan on stopping in there from time to time to see what new coins they received. A positive experience.

    Bayville?

There used to be a very knowledgable dealer in Forked River, then Lanoka Harbor. Name of the place was ACC Coin Exchange and the owner back then was Carl Gazia. Anyone know him?
  • There's no inventory in Shrewsbury.

Purchased several coins from Ed, great guy and always a pleasure. Met him at the old Holmdel shows. He attracted half the crowd to his table. Big Morgan CC collector, that was his passion. His Shrewsbury store is really his tile store, although he took time out to pull his stuff from the safe to show me some Morgans. I think he bought out the Howell store from Charlie who still runs it. You get a fair deal from Ed.

Dealt with Eddie many times. A stand up guy. No worries dealing with him.
