I recently purchased this 1809 Capped Bust Half Dollar, which I am pleased to share with you. I am particularly pleased with the strong strike on both obverse and reverse.

Hey Stuart. Glad to see you are up and about. Between bizarre weather and more bizarre economic woes, I was hoping you were still doing your thing. And you are. image
    I brake for ear bars.
  • Looks like an EDS O-106 (no obverse cracks through the stars on left). The strike is nice. I hope the color is nice in hand as well.

Teletrade coins have to be viewed in hand to know what they really look like. Some good opportunities available from time to time at TT.

While the strike is indeed nice and strong, I just don't like the surfaces on the coin. Looks too funky.

I bet this is a beautiful coin in person.
I agree that it is a nice strike also. A touch weak on the center obverse and the usual ST area on the reverse, but very nice overall.
    I see this one in a 55 slab, but a nice 55
I like her and think she is a knockout in hand.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"
  • coin looks to me like that it was heavly toned and then dipped.
What remains are stains from the toning.
I sure hope i am wrong and it is just bad pictures.
