2003 steroid tests

By no means am I siding with the Players Union, but didn't they agree to the "survey tests" in 2003, on the condition that the tests were completely annonymous? Believe me, I don't feel bad for A-Rod or anyone else that has been outed, but it seems that the owners really put one over on the Union this time.

I'm not defending A-Rod here, but I hope the person in the government that leaked this to SI has his kneecaps broken, especially if none of the other 103 names come out.

How do you know it was someone in the government? Didn't Selig's office have the info, MLBPA have the info and the drug tester have the info?

How do you know it was a "he"?

Pretty crazy to want to wish for someone to have their kneecaps broken over an outing of what appears to be fact.

OK, WHOEVER leaked it should have bad things happen to them. I'm tired of people leaking out grand jury testimony, anonymous drug test results - basically anything in which there are rules and laws in place to protect people - all for a bunch of dollars. Yes, A-Rod looks dirty in all of this, and deservedly so, but so does the scumbag who leaked the news of a supposedly anonymous test.

You still want "bad things" to happen to the leaker. That's just childish nonsense. Who really gives a rip about who leaked what, what's done is done. I hope the entire list is exposed and let the chips fall where they may and I don't care if every member of the Red Sox team is on the list. You do the crime, you do the time.

None of this crap bothers me one iota, disappointing? Sure. But my biggest concern today is how long I'm gonna lay out and catch some rays...enjoy life, it's later than you think!! Why get so torqued over crap you can't do anything about, especially when it doesn't affect you are those near you one bit? I say BFD to the whole thing.

If you really wanna get cranked about something, take a good look at the "stimulus" bill. You think some of your tax $$$ should pay for a mob museum in Vegas among other stupid pork expenditures?

I think you need to take a deep, deep breath of fresh air and chill.
  • just imagine if the water polution whistle blower had their knee cap broken, or the Mechanic for Air Alaska that because of him no more people had to die on airplanes due to corprate greed, or imagine the whistle blowers do the right things hundred of times and then get their knee cap broken because people like you don't want their sports stars exposed - how friggin stupid! Yeah let's kill the messenger not look at the message

  • I hope some intrepid sports reporter digs into this story to learn the who, why and how the information was leaked. I suspect we
    will find out eventually.

As much as I hate to agree with a Red Sox fan, I do agree!!!

Generally the nausea and vomiting will subside in a few days. The pounding headaches may last for a couple of weeks though as guilt and depression appear to linger once you realize you've crossed that horrible line of agreeing with one of the Fenway Faithful. All in all, we're pretty good folks, just don't care too much for the Bronx team or those to the south a bit. image

Enjoy the season, may your team do well.

PS Thanks for not correcting my typo in my other post "affect you are those near you", vs "affect you or those near you"...

alpemono - there is a difference about those things you list and some greedy person taking a bagful of cash to leak information about something that was supposed to be kept confidential. I also suppose you have no problem with citizens breaking the law and leaking grand jury testimony too? Perhaps I chose my words poorly, but the point I'm trying to make is that people need to shut their yappers, and let due process play itself out.
