I watched about 10 minutes of MLB Network's Hot Stove last night.....and loved it! How the hell did Barry Larkin and Dan Pleasac not have ESPN gigs before this show? Those guys are well spoken and provide coherent points, especially from an ex-player's perspective. And I've always liked Harold Reynolds in studio (much better than game analyst). They may not be as funny as Kruk, but I think with time the humor will flow naturally as they get more comfortable.
I didn't think there was any way I'd switch from Baseball Tonight to MLB's highlight package show, but after last night, I just might. It's certainly a no-brainer on days where Fernando Vina, Eric Young, or Orestes Destrade are on the ESPN set. Those guys are atrocious.
I urge everyone to do themselves a favor and try to catch MLB Network's studio show when they get a chance, it's time well spent.

Amen, brother!
Competition is a good thing. Hopefully ESPN will do what they can to improve their product and then we'll have a choice between two good options instead of just having to suffer through lackluster highlights.
of these three by far the worst is Eric Young, the dude can't talk 3 sentences without stumbling or stuttering. Vina is just OK and Destrade is an empty suit. Young is just atrocious and shouldn't have a job.
