Went to my first card show today in about 18 years

Was hoping to find some unopened older Heritage but there wasn't a box to be found earlier than 2008. I did pick up a box of 08 pretty cheap.

picked up these Heritage autos though

Hey, nice rips and fantastic looking Heritage autographs!! I am a big Astros fan (especially of their AAA Express team) and liked watching Towles play - if you are up for selling that card please let me know how much you want for it as I think it looks pretty cool. Nice pull on the Griffey and of course, the Longoria!

Nice Zep pulls to say the least, the Longoria is bank. Nice to see tripple threads is better quaility than co-signers. I didnt have too much luck with sweet spot either zep. Thanks for sharing and great pulls! image

I went to the Mansfield show last Thanksgiving (07) when I was home in Boston. Its honestly not bad for a monthly show. I picked up a few raw 69 Basketball cards that graded out as 8's including a Big O. I enjoyed it. I still think most modern day show dealers WAY overvalue their stuff though. I'd be curious to know what you paid for those Heritage autos, Mike...if only because those guys have now signed so many autographs that I feel like one of these days that prices for modern autos are going to plummet...don't they kind of HAVE to?

Also, I find a lot of shows that are not in major cities are the places where you find the dealers that have apparently never heard of grading (with some exceptions). You will almost always see half the dealers in the room looking to get Beckett LOW value for PSA 5 level raw cards - or nice cards that they think are mint but would grade as 9OC.

Yogi has been a great signer for the card companies of the years. Mays and Ford sign less. I think what will be the difference with these cards is that
they are on card autographs and that they are a beautiful design. Donruss has put out plenty of stickered Yogi and even some Mays cards, none of them
are on card and you have to deal with those stickers. Few cards have depreciated less if not went the other way, than topps heritage.
