No idea why that last play wasn't reviewed. I'm not saying I think it would have been overturned, but in that situation, given how close it was and what was at stake, how do you at least not take a look at it?
Last play looked like an incomplete forward pass to me...at the very least it should have been reviewed.

Warner cost them the game?? LOL, do you have ANY knowledge or clue about sports in general? I'd have to say the odds are overwhelmingly NO.

Yes, I DO know sports and yes, Warner did cost them the game. That forced pass at the end of the first half (14 point turn around) killed them. And yes it was his fault. He had three tries....you don't throw it that situation unless the IS a passing lane. If you can't see a def. lineman there, well I just know to put it.....................he choked big time.
Dimeman, I guess you missed his 377 yds passing and 3 TD passes...No offense, but I think you should stick to dimes...most of your posts here exhibit an embarassing lack of sports knowledge...

It doesn't matter how many yards passing or how many TD's you have if you can't make the plays needed to win. He blew it plane and simple at the end of the first half. Then it was catch up the rest of the game so he racked up the stats. But he lost!
<< <i>Last play looked like an incomplete forward pass to me...at the very least it should have been reviewed. >>
Except I don't there was a possible receiver there so it would be intentional grounding I thought. Too many little rules change every year, however I think everyone would have to agree his arm was moving forward...so come call other then what happen should have happened. Not that I guess it would matter any...but it might for some bet or just for complete accurate stats.
Very nice game. Congrats to the Steelers and I will tip my hat to Ben, the toughest quarterback in the NFL. Perhaps the toughest in the modern football era.

Both QBs played a whale of a game...just when you thought the game was over the other guy responded...a classic SB, IMO.

all the Steelers hate....but that's okay. Pitts won fair and square. Ben had an awesome winning drive. starting at first and 20 at his own 15. what a drive. But OKAY Stalin and all you go blame the REFS.....we got ring number 6. continue on with the ref BS talk. incredible game winning drive. you disagree with that Stalin?????????and thanks for letting us use your home turf.
I don't think anyone was blaming the refs, if it was intentional grounding it would be on AZ, but I think that ends the game in the final (cant remember what time) itself. There is some rule on that.
Anyway, again great game. The Cards had their chance. Congrats again to the Steelers.

P.S. - Santonio - incredible TD catch to win it. Ben - awesome throw with 3 men covering Holmes. Awesome drive - BUT let's blame the REFS for this one. what a JOKE.
nice win Pitts. way to go to number 6. and NO, no Merry Christmas needed for this win. keep blaming the refs. and Kurt fumbled at the end. his arm was not going forward. Pitts defender knocked the ball forward. BUt again, let's blame the REFS...don't think so.

ya but Ben has done that all year long....many last minute drives and fourth quarter wins. >>
Ben does seem to make it happen when he needs to. I still say the guy is the toughest modern qb. He can take a lot of hits.

Hey, found that rule I was talking about....not that I think anyone really cares. If it was an intentional grounding, then the clock would have been ran off.
Article 10: A team is not permitted to conserve time inside of one minute of either half by committing any of the following acts: fouls by either team that prevent the snap (i.e., false start, encroachment, etc.), intentional grounding, an illegal forward pass thrown from beyond the line of scrimmage with the intent to conserve time, throwing a backward pass out of bounds with the intent to conserve time, and any other intentional foul that causes the clock to stop.
Penalty: Loss of five yards unless a larger distance penalty is applicable. When actions referred to above are committed by the offensive team with the clock running, officials will run 10 seconds off the game clock before permitting the ball to be put in play on the ready for play signal. The clock will start on the ready for play signal. If the offensive team has timeouts remaining, it will have the option of using a timeout in lieu of a 10-second runoff. If the action is by the defense, the play clock will be reset to 40 seconds and the game clock will start on the ready signal. If the defense has time outs remaining, it will have the option of using a time out in lieu of the game clock being started.

1 question where was the review at? They review and they (CYA) and the call stands fine great game. Since they didnt sorry another superbowl handed to the steelers by the striped shirts. The roughing the passer call on fragile Ben was just another case in point why football is beginning to remind me of the wwf/nwa oh at least there you knew the "fix" was in. The odds of 1 more play or 2 changing the outcome was slight sure but still sorry game was tainted.

1. There is no reason to believe the play would have been ruled incomplete. He was hit while the ball and arm were at his side and the ball starting coming lose before he started his forward/underhand motion.
2. There would have been no unsportmanlike penalty on the Steelers if it was ruled incomplete, they threw their helmets off in celebration of the play after it was ruled a fumble. I believe they would have taken the penalty off the board if they ruled it a incomplete pass.
3. Where was the fix at when they took the first Steelers TD off the board with little to no visual evidence he was down and the ball didn't cross the plane? I didn't see overwhelming evidence to overturn that call.
4. Where was fix at when their center falling down trips up the defender as he was being overrun and gets the holding call for a safety?
5. Where was the fix at when Fitzgerald travels out of bounds and trys to tackle Harrison on the INT, that is illegal.
The personal foul on Taylor was chincy just like the one on Roethilsberger for roughing.
The Steelers got a holding call on the 1st play on their winning drive, yeah that's a way to fix em.
Harrison retaliated for getting punched in the groin first, yeah maybe it was overboard but both should have been ejected if anything.
