Anyone have a spare PSA box key?

So I'm unpacking and want to make sure my cards survived the move. Ooops, forgot that I locked the boxes and cannot find any keys. Ironically, the only box I didn't lock was an empty spare.. Doh!

If I remember correctly, the wooden boxes have universial locks, right?? So if you can hook a brother up, I would greatly appreciate it. If not, karma will come back to haunt 10 fold.

First, let me welcome you to the boards. image

Tell us a little about you, and what you collect. You'll find a good bunch of guys here with lots of knowledge, and most times eager to share it. Once again, welcome to the message boards.

Turn ons: Winning cards with lowball bids, surprise packages containing cards I cannot afford, and naughty PMs from Carol.

Turn offs: Whining OT threads, such as misplaced PSA box keys.

This is a great thread. I did a search on the boards here using Stown as an author and found his first posts. I looked at his first posts and I don't believe anyone ever said welcome to the forums.

This is his first post btw.

What about the larger, older cards that do not fit in traditional penny sleeves (i.e. '55 B & T, '56 T, etc)? The tops stick out just a tad and I'm not sure if over time, it could leave a small mark or not.

I had numerous older cards in hard top loaders (w/o sleeves) that sat in the dark for over 10 years. The top loaders had a slight brown tint at the top; however, the cards were not effected. >>

  • Welcome back OLD friend........

".......Ooops, forgot that I locked the boxes and cannot find any keys......"

An old hammer and crow bar should do the trick.

If that does not work drill out the lock... then SMASH with hammer.

    John,

For some reason, I can't reply to PMs. Yes, it's a roop box and thanks! I'll reply tomorrow.
