Kurt Warner Prop Bet a Lock??

grote15grote15 Posts: 29,719 ✭✭✭✭✭
I saw earlier this week that the O/U on Kurt Warner's total passing yards was 225..that seems quite low to me as AZ relies so heavily on the pass and will probably be playing from behind late in the game. Any thoughts?>

I see 265 on Bodog....which I would take the under on.
  • The weather is supposed to be perfect. 67 degrees, sunny, and no wind.

When the Steelers lose their fans should use the weather as the excuse.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Yes, all Super Bowl bets are a lock for the bettors. It's a little known tradition, but once a year on Super Bowl Sunday, the bookies as a show of thanks for the loyal support from their addicted gambler customers, make it easy for them to win money, lots of big easy money. For example on the opening coin flip, many books charge no juice...just an amazing show of generosity by the bookies...brings tears to my eyes, it really does.

...and thanks for the headsup - I just bet both my kidneys on this prop bet. Happy days are here again. image

The catch is that I think its "Gross passing yards" You need to take into account that the sack yards lossed will be taken away from the total, meaning if he throws for 280 but gets sacked 6 times for 60 yards his "Gross passing yards" would only be 220 yds.

Its by no means a lock if you ask me.

In that case it would be 'net passing yards'.

Boo I wonder if its the same thing? Do you know for sure, I dont and if "Gross" means regular passing yards then why do they even use the term if they meant Net?

Definition: Net passing yards (gross less lost-on-sack) Its the same term Net vs Gross

If sacks are being taken into account, I'd say that bet is no longer very appealing...Steve is it too late to get yr kidneys back?? image

Perk - Think about it in terms of your paycheck. Your gross pay is what you earned before taxes are taken out, and your net pay is after the taxes (or yards lost by sack) have been deducted.

I'll tell ya, I don't recommend this bet - I just drank a few Sam Adams and I'm not feeling too well...I probably just need to drink a few more. image

I deactivated my on-line betting accounts a couple years back though, so I didn't bet...my NFL gambling is limited now to office pools and those sheets that you can bet $20, LOL...
