2008 Buffalo

It appears that that on eBay, the 2008 1 oz. Buffalos are selling for more in PCGS69 than in PCGS70. Am I seeing things or is there a reason for this? Thanks for your opinions.

Are you comparing 2008w ms69 to 2008 ms70's? otherwise makes no sense but sometimes that happens with auctions
  • Fish....can you explain the difference?

The w coin has a tiny mintage compared to the regular non w coin.

Buffalos with W mint marks were made in both proof and uncirculated finishes in 1/10,1/4,1/2 and 1 oz sizes and only for 2008-these were made in relatively low numbers of 10-20 thousand each ,sold only by the mint and geared towards collectors. The one ounce 2008 Buffalo(no mint mark) coins were made in the very large numbers (close to 200 thousand)and are sold primarily thru bullion dealers but also as the Celebration coin directly thru the mint.
