Can the 2005 Mint Set get any cheaper?

At $6.50 bid, they're trading almost at face value now. image I remember when these first sold out back in early '06, I bought 100 of them at $26.00 apiece as an investment, thinking this new "satin finish" thing was going to be the next big fad. Man, was I ever wrong on that one!

I guess if you bought 100 more now you could reduce your cost average basis.image

I hear ya brotha. I did the same thing thinking -satin finish, new Jefferson obverse, buffalo nickel-a shoe in for popularity. Just shows ya how the coin markets can be. I didn't have NN at the time and now keep an eye on the production.

I think that in the future the non-satin finish coins may be at a premium, anyone agree?

I think if you want to turn these for cash it might be best to break the sets up and look at individual coins.
