Nice buy! The Gary Carter rookie is tough to find that well centered.

Looks like a decent deal to me. Out of curiosity, why is the Carter so less expensive than a Rice PSA 9? Does the Carter have a much higher PSA 9 pop or is Rice just highly collectible? I'm missing Rice 75 and 76 PSA 9's from my sets because they were always ridiculously expensive for 73-present cards (same with the 76 Eckersley)

Pop Report Rice 365 (8s) 74 (9s) 1 (10) 797 (total subs) Pop Report Carter 566 (8s) 81 (9s) 1 (10) 1,286 (total subs)
Which has me hoping Rice is just popular because of his recent HOF induction. Just a year ago there wasn't much in terms of dollars seperating the two. This is the first one I've seen sell for less than $200 and why I posted... figured I had to miss something.

<< <i>Bad idea to show two PSA 9's of the same card in an auction for one when one of them is OC. Do you have any idea which one you will get? >>
The other one is OPC, sold for a lot less. Thanks for the feedback, guess I'll go be excited now. Thank you.

One was Topps and one was OPC.
<< <i>How good of a deal was it? What do these cards normally sell for? >>
SMR is $175. Last one sold for $250. Not sure why??
