Need reputable Phoenix dealer please

VeepVeep Posts: 1,502 ✭✭✭✭
Someone asked me if I knew a reputable dealer in the Phoenix/Tempe area to whom they could refer a relative who has a collection that may be for sale. I'm blank. Any help will be passed on and appreciated.

  • TTT, someone should be able to answer this for you.
  • I've done some business with John Gulde at shows and would recommend him. He doesn't have a store front. He buys all sorts of coins. One caveat is that he often wants sellers to name a price before he makes an offer. I found this contact info online:

    John Gulde
    P.O. Box 5595
Scottsdale, Arizona 85261-5595 (about 15 miles from Phoenix)

    Ph: 480-998-4001
    Fax: 480-998-8948

John has been around a long time, and I don't know if this alone makes someone reputable, and he may have skeletons like nearly everyone else has buried somewhere. But I bought coins from him at the Mich State show 15 years ago, and at the FUN show last year, and probably a few in between. He tends to carry some decent raw material, and can price items fairly and reasonably. Never tried to sell anything to him though.
