"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."
The search for glasses bigger is the future it appears as well...
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Bringing this back because it was one of my favorite threads in the day. Baseball players with big glasses. Sure wish some of the images were still here!
Nice work Promethius!! When I saw this one at the top of the page I did a double take--talk about a blast from the past!! Sure beats some of the mundane threads on here these days like "Which hand do you hold your card with when you look at it??" or "Help!! An eBay seller overcharged me 12 cents on shipping!! What should I do?!?!"

Yeah, it's been a while since I've been on here and things have really changed. It was a wild and crazy time back then. Don't miss the crazy drama, though. Wonder what happened to some of those guys

Nice blast from the past! Don't mind if I take the liberty to combine this with another long-lost thread (with apologies to Geordie).

Glasses. Darrell Porter with the Royals and Cardinals.
Minton's glasses aren't all that big. I just have never gotten over how an easy job of just airbrushing a hat could have gone so terribly wrong...
