ASEs say "1 ounce" on the back, not 1 "troy" ounce. The website also says 1 ounce. So are they 1 ounce or 1 troy ounce??

They are one troy ounce or 31.1 grams. They are .999 pure silver, unlike the AGE which is .9162 fine, but also contains one troy oz of gold. An AGE weighs 33.930 grams --Jerry

Why do you assume one oz is not one troy oz. It has to be some type of oz. Since it is unspecified why system of measurements to use it seems reasonable to use the troy oz since that is what precious metals are traded in. Now if you saw one on a shelf in a grocery store you might reasonably ask your question. --Jerry
