Did this coin get flushed down a toilet and found later at the wastewater reclamation facility???

agree. 100% humidity was my first thoughts also.
amazing how that print came back to full view.. assuming it was

They might only give it a geniune with envirnomental damage now.

Go view lots in any auction and you'll find all kinds of coins that have degraded in all kinds of holders, gold coins with putty on them, brown and red brown coins in RD and RB holders, etc.
