AUCTIVA:: HELP US SOON !!!

yes, another rant... we need to somehow ask auctiva to get moving on doing an auction based site and soon.. I went on there but did not see how i can ask them any questions....I am a small ebay seller, real part-time and am really tired of them, like most of you guys, but at this time it is really the only outlet to get rid of my stuff... with all the fees, it's just a bit too much...not just that, but the buyers are crappier and crappier and the part that bothers me most of all is no recourse on their antics... So, in closing, any ideas on how to put ebay out of its misery?? A WEEK BOYCOTT YOU SAY?? any thoughts you care to share?? ivan

    You can ask the auctiva owners Qs at the link.

    They usually respond, eventually.

    Except for a few categories, auctions are pretty much dead. A new site
    will have a heck of a time making money in that game.

    Amazon (AMZN) released earnings and hit a home run. Revenue guidance strong, but operating income guidance low. Shares up 7% before the call.

    Q4 Revenue: $6.70 Billion vs. $6.44 billion consensus.

    Q4 EPS: $0.52 vs. $0.39 consensus.

    Q1 Revenue Guidance: $4.525 - $4.925 billion vs. $4.57 billion consensus.

    Q1 Operating Income guidance: $125 to $210 million vs. $261 million consensus.

    Shares of AMZN are up almost $7.00 in afterhours.

  • Try checkoutmycards.com. For me it is a place to list inventory that I wouldn't want to list individually on ebay. I've had mixed results. Sold about 50 of 200 in 6 weeks. Slow sales, but selling nonetheless. As a seller there are some fees, but they handle all of the processing and shipping. As a buyer i find that a lot of cards are over priced or in less than minty condition. I have found some good deals however. Just a thought if you are looking for another avenue to get rid of some stuff. They will charge me 20% when I eventually ask them for some cash. Kind of like my bookie. That is my main complaint about the fees.
