Numismatic News and 2008 Kennedy sales figures

Numismatic News did not post the 2008 Kennedy sales figures this week.

Can anyone here get those numbers?

If I read that correctly then that would be a mintage of about 1.5 mil per mint mark?

Thank both of you for the information BUT...

Those sales figures are almost 2 weeks old.
You can get the latest numbers from numismaticnews.net every Thursday except the numbers for Kennedys were dropped last week!

And the official mintage per mintmark is 1.7 million.
    From the mint website.

Leaves me to believe they are near selling out.

So why has my order for the lasy 6 days said "Your order request is on hold"?

The same thing happened when I ordered the bags, order was on hold until they sold out then I received message "no longer available".

Yes 1.5 million per mint or 1.4 million more than needed to fill numismatic demand.

    New numbers at numismaticnews.net

At this rate of sales, 2008 2 roll Kennedy sets should be gone in roughly a month or two.

I've been wondering about these myself. I do notice the Mint finally put the 2008 Kennedy rolls sets back up in main "Bags & Rolls" section. For a while these had been a "hidden menu item" on the Mint's website, and apparently a lot of people mistakenly thought they had sold out already image

This brings up an interesting point:

If there are 1.7 million in the overall population for each mint, and none are released to banks, whats the likelihood of there being an anything below a MS 65 ?

And where are the collectors .

    Are they all roll collectors?

I have not searched any of the 2008 Kennedy bags or rolls but I have searched a few in the past.

The coins will usually range in grade from MS60 to the rare MS67.

Unlike silver eagles that come in rolls that all look MS67 or better to me.
