Should the Mint end some items for the sake of others?

Since items like the UHR are evidently considerably back ordered due to lack of blanks should the Mint stop producing an item such as the First Spouse series which is not too popular and free up materials for items such as the UHR or Fractional Buffs? I know the blanks are different sizes but I suspect, like anyone else trying to buy gold in quantity that the Mint is having trouble finding a supplier who can meet the demand at a reasonable price. Please note I am not totally versed on sourcing this type of thing, it just seems to me that the Mint could go to it's suppliers and say 'Stop making those and focus on these'. I know that is simplistic but possibly someone could enlighten me...

Just seems like they are continuing an unpopular series while shortchanging customers who really want another item by making them wait.

Just a random thought I would post. Your comments are appreciated!

I'm not sure stopping the first spouse coins would have any effect on the ability to make the UHR blanks. The UHR coins require a planchette which is significantly different from any other coin the mint makes. I don;t know that they have the ability to make them, so stopping any other coin would just reduce the overall output, not increase anything at all!

I think they should stop with design changes every year! The state quarter thing was a hit but now it's getting rediculous
