How long does it take Heritage to ship?

airplanenutairplanenut Posts: 22,726 ✭✭✭✭✭
I won a few lots in the FUN sale and paid my invoice the day it appeared. My card was charged on 1/14, and two weeks later I haven't seen any notices at the Post Office, and it doesn't look like they post any information on their site, either. Most places don't charge your card until they ship, so does that mean the package is taking a long time, or is Heritage slow in getting stuff out?

Just curious since I don't buy from them that often, and I'm antsy waiting to see these pieces again image

You should receive your coins within another week, two weeks at most.

I just received my Heritage FUN purchase today, and believe me, it was worth the wait. The coin looked better than I remembered and much better than the online photo. image

Edit: Oh, and I think they must have polished the sticker, too. image

Last few auctions from them have been very slow for me too.

I just received mine today (pics forthcoming). I also received an e-mail when they shipped them. Give them a call in the morning and ask.

Their customer rep said mine would ship last Wednesday...

    They still haven't shipped yet.

Just a little longer than you are willing to wait.

I just received my winnings yesterday.

I haven't bought from Heritage in a while, but I do notice that they are taking longer to ship coins, especially from the Signature auctions.

Well, I got to the Post Office today and was excited to see a big package waiting for me. Then I discovered it wasn't from Heritage, so no coins. I called and the guy on the phone couldn't figure out why it hasn't shipped in 15 days, either...

I won a coin from Heritage a few weeks ago. They sent me an email about 3 days after I paid to tell me it had been shipped. I received it 2 days later.

I buy from them in their Tuesday auctions from time to time, and I usually have the lot(s) in my post orafice by the next Monday. With the FUN auction it was a bit slow, especially on one of the paper money lots, it came about a week later than it would have usually.

They send out emails with the tracking numbers, and if you haven't gotten one yet, I would be getting on the horn and ranging them up pronto.

I won a single lot in their Tuesday night internet auction on January 13th. I paid for this using a valid credit card exactly 16 minutes after I received the invoice that evening. I usually receive my items within 4 days of a credit card payment (I pay extra to have every package shipped via express mail).

I called customer service last Friday and I received a complimentary apology, and an assurance that the lot would be shipped immediately. I returned home from a business trip today to find that it had not been shipped. Pissed off would be a dramatic understatement.

I called a few minutes ago to inquire about the delay, and received another complimentary apology and another assurance that it would ship immediately. There is NO EXCUSE for this lack of service.

I spent well over $110,000 at heritage in 2008. Perhaps this doesn't even qualify me for even the most basic and minimal of customer service. I just don't get it.

I didn't spend as much as you have, but still considerable - and until recently I had stellar service. They might want to think about their service arrangements with the economy going into the crapper - we are their bread and butter.

I have had stellar service from both Heritage and USPS concerning lots that I have won. Their invoicing and shipping is far superior to that of Stack's, which I think is very good. No complaints with either auction house from me.

I think you should fly down there and see what the heck is going on.

IF something goes unusual in the payment they may forget to ship. I had to fax them my reseller permit to avoid sales tax and I was slow to do that. then they had to credit it. My coins got kicked out of the shipping queue and they forgot to ship them. I called a month later they apologized and shipped that day. so if you had anything unusual in your transaction you might give them a call. -Jerry

Well, I am glad they did not charge you for the apologies!! image

They should not charge you for shipping eithier, given the delays in getting it out.
