Any idea what this bat is worth?? Ty Cobb 40 T. C.

As I mentioned a few times here, I used to have a decent Ty Cobb collection. I picked up this bat years ago and had it shadowboxed displayed. Ty Cobb's model # used to be 40 T. C. so this is a Ty Cobb bat of some type. I believe his game models have his signature burned into the barrel and this one does not, so I DO NOT believe that it is game used. I believe this one was made from 1916-1929 or so. It's cracked, but otherwise kinda neat considering it's age. The black rings around the end of the handle and around the top part of the barrel are from my improper shadowboxing. The bat is close to 33 1/2 inches long or so. I have no idea on the weight. Cool vintage Ty Cobb bat.

This is for sale if I get what I consider to be a decent offer. Just PM me your offer if you are interested.

    PoppaJ,

thanks for the link, mine looks just like that one except it doesn't have the signature burned into the barrel. It's kinda skinny compared to the bats I used in high school, and I still couldn't hit! image
