What percentage of your crackout/resubmissions are successful in getting a higher grade?

How much of your business/hobby consists of this approach?

How much of your focus is searching for RAW coins to submit?

The crackout game isn't played with random coins. It's played with pieces that have been hand-selected for being high-end for their current grade. Percentage of success depends entirely on how good your eye for premium quality is.

I never played the game, because I trust the wisdom, judgement, and accuracy of the hard-working graders who do so much for us. image

Hey five cents! Do those tile snips work okay for cracking a slab? Is that really what you used? (If you really did this?)

I have cracked out 2 PCGS 64's and 1 NGC 64 and all 3 upgraded to 65's. I sent in an NGC 66 and it crossed to PCGS 66. I quit while I was ahead.

Cracking out certified coins - submitting raw is a VERY dicey Game!

You'll either be successful or will pay to learn the hard way.

You'll develop an eye quickly or you'll be broke in no time flat!image

Try it! It's the only way to learn - the Hard way ... which IS the best Teacher. image

Now that is a good one, but true!
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
