I need a new Calendar! Post your pictures!

Since the RCMR calendar stopped being useful on the first of the month, it's time for a new calendar.

If PCGS won't make one, I'll have to make it myself.

Photobucket makes calendars, and they're pretty cheap. I'd like to get one.

Post up some images of nice coins for use in the calendar

If it's possible, I can make the calendar available to everyone once I'm finished.

Great thread Chad! I'm missin' the RCMR calendar as well.

blu62vette has a smokin' calendar he sent me via a link to a PDF.

If any member has access to a quality printer I'd be glad to pay to have it printed.

I would just float this out there; blu got laid off recently so if you like it and you wind up printing the calendar you might think about forwarding him the cost of a nice quality calendar. Just an idea.

I had a calendar made through PB last year and did not like the results. I recommend that you have it done at Kinkos. The two I've had done there were quite good.

No, not really. "Calendar medals" are a collectible category with a long history. I've seen them back into the 1600s (those made in Europe, obviously, not America). I don't really collect them, but I've picked up a few because I thought they were neat. This one is the 1853/1854 version from J. B. Hyde. There are similar pieces for several other years in the early 1850s. They were intended as pocket pieces for people to use as real calendars in their day-to-day business, and most of them were used as pocket pieces. High-grade specimens like this one are somewhat unusual as a result.

Here's what I'm thinking - I'll post all of these pictures (or groups of pictures) in one thread, and then everyone can vote on their favorite. I'll take the top 13 images (12 months, 1 cover) and make a calendar out of it. The way photobucket works, they print using Qoop, and you are able to go through and find my username and see the creations I've made, and can purchase them directly from Qoop for $14.99 if you want one. I'm not making any money - they would cost me $14.99 as well.

What do you guys think?
