Proof sets and Silver Proof Sets Question.

In what year did the US Mint start Silver Proof sets distinct from Proof sets, that of course are distinct from Uncirculated Mint sets.
The whole thing gives me a headache.

    That are, of course, distinct from Premier Sets(intro in 1992), that are distinct, of course, from Prestige Sets(intro in 1983), that are distinct, of course, from Legacy Sets, Quarter Sets and Nickel Sets, and Coin and Stamp Sets and...

    Sorry, it has been maddening...

    yup pretty sure it was 1992, but the bicentennial (1976) issues come in a silver set as well if i'm not mistaken, as do many of the Ike dollars and such, etc etc etc... all of the state quarters have silver sets as well...
    For those that don't know, I am starting pharmacy school in the fall. image

    Yes, there was a 3 piece proof silver and unc.

    BUT, we could also say the Brown Box Silver Ikes started in 1971 count, right?
