P.S. - Pleeeeeze note: Would you like to participate in this "group rip"? ... Spots still available! BBCE has made available another wax case, plus 9 unopened wax boxes for us (...so, 29 unopened wax boxes are still available!). If you would like to participate in this group rip, there's still plenty of room for you! Come join in on the fun!
Does anyone else have any quality issues with their boxes? In the box and a half I have opened it seems like the printer was running very low on ink.The blues turn into reds.So I don't have high hopes for the last 2. Mike

Mike, my box # 1 was good, I hope your last 2 are ok?
edit: I'm ripping a random pack from box #2, ...just to see if it looks ok? (I'll post scans here of pack asap!)
Well that gives me some hope for the next 2 and a half boxes.By the way who order the rest of the rack cases?I went to buy one last night and they were out. Mike
Wow! A total of (27) wax boxes have been shipped by BBCE for this "group rip". I hope all involved will have a good experience with this tough series (1986 Topps Baseball) and do hope many of you will "pull those potential PSA gems".
<< <i>Can we still order any more at that price? If so I might get another four.If so do I just send a payment with the CU info again? Mike >>
Mike,
I was informed that BBCE had a "walk-in" customer that purchased all the remaining 86T BB wax box/case inventory. That was yesterday! So it looks like they are indeed, sold out of 86T BB wax! Sorry Mike.
I have a few Glossy sets some where in the house.Anyway the registration and print quality was much better in box 3.I am hoping for more of the same from box 4.Also through 3 boxes I have only pulled one Ryan that was no better than an 8. Mike
Wax box # 2 revealed 45 star cards. Which was similar to box # 1.
I will begin to go through and examine about 1,000 commons "closely "under the loop", as I'm looking for "PSA 10 candidates".
I did look closely at the 45 star cards from box # 2, and only found one potential PSA 10 canidate. (I'll also screen over 2,200 from the 1986 cello box rip)...
I'm only halfway through one box but these are the cleanest, best centered cards I've seen in a long time. I've picked about ten so far that are really exceptional. Don't know that I'll actually submit any but they are super.
i see where they have individual packs on there cheap of 80s stuff, but you can only buy 1,it wont let you pick 2 of the same one for some reason,do i have to get ahold of steve to get more than 1 pack of 82 donruss, 84 fleer, ect? i want to start slabbing some of this 80s stuff, one of these days somebody bound to open it all, by 2100 maybe

So THAT'S what Bill has been doing all week....travelling to BBCE.
Got my 2 boxes today and they are FRESH!! After a slow start on box 1 the cards became consistently strong. I'm working on box 2 now and these are the best I've seen Hopefully a fat pull is coming because the stars have been a little flat. I'll post scans when I compile the best from boxes 1 and 2.

rube, i hope someone here can help you with a nice looking 86 T BB wax pack for your registry set? i got mine earlier last week and ripped them already,
sooooooooooooooooooooo sorry Randy!
rd
P.S. ... a total (972) wax packs were included in this rip, i'm confident a 'rip participant' will step forward, and "squeeeeeeze one of those puppies" out for rube's pack registry project?

When I rip my wax box #2, ...I'll rip this rack pack along with it!

P.S. It's funny, I always thought Vince Coleman was going to have a hall of fame career! That could have been a hot rookie card?
Edit: Also, anyone ever notice that Topps inserted a Topps Glossy with an 86T BB rack pack? (see: the Tom Herr AS Topps Glossy below)
