Grading Attribution Importance

Question as to (grading) attributions on slabs. How important are such attributions? For example, if the slab does not say Full Bands for a Mercury Dime, would you trust a dealer who says that the coin does have Full Bands?

Attributions are extremely important, and can affect a coins value by thousands of dollars.
But seriously, why take anyone's word for it? Just look at the coin yourself.
<< <i>Such attributions are as important as you want them to be. But if they are important to you, then they should be on the slab. Sure, judge for yourself, but if you are not absolutely certain, then rely on the impartial TPG. >>
But you can't always rely on the TPG's. I've seen plenty of PCGS and NGC Franklins designated as FBL that were indeed not.
