Recommended flips for submission

I typically submit coins in their original government plastic as to avoid my clumsiness - I am thinking about submitting them in flips but have heard about damage from the plastic used. Anyone have recommendations as to flip type (maker) does it make any difference at all for the brief time they are in there?

I'm cheap -- I use file folder labels cut in half.
