New Purchase: 1845 England (Victoria Young Head) Crown -- New Photos

Here is a new purchase that I made from the recent Heritage World Coin Auction held in NY. I have not yet received the coin, but am looking forward to examining it in person (Heritage has been very slow to ship it image).

A nice example for the type. image

I'm waiting on Heritage too. In fact, they have not even mailed mailed me my coins yet.
When I called them about it on Friday, the CR told me they were slowed down because of FUN and NYINC.

    Grrrrrr.....

A lovely coin. I had a bit of a hard time to find one for my collection. Finally obtained one in VF condition from Davisson's.

Here are some photos that I took this evening of my new 1845 Victoria (Young Head) Crown, which I finally received after about a month of waiting.
I will probably try to take some even better photos to capture the mint luster. image

    Nice looking original coin.

  • Very nice coin. Always liked vicky. In your photos there appear to be light vertical scratches that did not show up in the other photos. Are they really there or is it just the photo?

They appear to be scratches on the plastic that surrounds the coin (NGC?)

Here are some new photos of my 1845 Victoria Crown that I took this evening, which do a better job of depicting the mint luster of the coin.
