Any B&Ms in Spokane WA worth a visit?

I'll be visiting Spokane off and on for the next few months. Anything numismaticly interesting in Spokane?

I saw a pretty fancy looking place on Division St. next to Pounders Jewelery, is that place any good? Looks expensive from the street - high rent I'd guess.

Yeah, that is Coins Plus...good selection, high end, knowlegeable staff, lotsa GOLD, have a website of the same name.

Spokane Coin downtown on Riverside for VERY fair prices.

American Coin on the North End, off of Division, for much stuff, does a fair amount of Ebay advertising.

Two shops on the South Hill, both small, Father and Son operations.

I would stay away from the first store mentioned........American Coin, Redline Coin are the best. Lived there 10 years been to all of them.

Another place is Coin Corner way out on East Trent. Nothing was found there but atleast the woman was very friendly. I found Spokane to be a Numismatic Grave Yard the last time I was up there.

Forgot about Coin Corner, they are very good also. Not much on the shelve but he has a lot in back.

Coins Plus is a good place to look - they have the most inventory in town.

I wrote down the names and am off to google addresses. Will put this info in with the estate and probate folder and next time I go to good old Spokane, I'll spend an extra day and do a little shopping. I grew up there, but have been away for 20 years. The two coin shops I knew about have long ago closed. It's funny. I know all the streets but many of the stores are different. I find myself using a GPS and looking up addresses in my old home town. sheesh.

Last time I was up, I happened to be in North Town. It was a bunch of stores and sidewalks when I was young. It got roofed in when I was a kid. Now it looks like every other mall - very nicely done I might add. I saw the company Bumpers now occupies a large area downstairs and seems to be a nice area for families to bring kids and enjoy pizza and little rides and video games and bowling and a jump house of all things. When I went to high-school, Bumpers was a little dive on the corner of Diamond and Regal where all the stoners and dropouts hung out playing Space Invaders, Astroids, Pacman, Tron, Galliga and pinball. Lots of changes. I like Spokane. I don't know what sort of industry they have now to support all the growth they've experienced, but I guess it's like anywhere else... Lot's of little companies doing what they do.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm looking forward to my next visit and a little numismatic shopping.

I used to go to a "card" shop in Northtown back in the 80's. I remember all the little stores also

Mark Emtman is based out of Spokane, he is one of the most knowledgeable bust coin dealers around. He used to work out of American Coin and Vault. I drove there from Seattle around 2002 to take a closer look at Mark's inventory, bought a nice 1806 half dollar from him, and a 1949 Chrysler engine block (but thats another story).
