Crossover first then look for bump?

I just picked up a very nice Leaf Jackie Robinson rookie graded SGC 86. As much as I like the holder, the PSA does seem to command a slight premium. I am planning on trying to cross to a PSA 7.5 then possibly try a couple of reviews to see if an 8 is possible. Is this a common approach? Please see Ebay item # 150320064831 to see if I am being realistic or not. Thanks, Tom

Looks like a PSA 7 to me. SGC is a little more lenient on centering than PSA. But your scenario isn't bad. It's the safest way to protect your investment while trying to cross it over

Because of the price, I would probably try to cross it in the slab.

UNLESS, I was absolutely sure/confident there was no problem
with the card. Kind of an expensive gamble, for not a big payoff.

It may just be me but i would keep it in the SGC holder. Thats one heck of a card!

WOW! I only have a handfull sgc,99% psa,
but that card,if it's for your collection,looks great with that black background.
If I ownred that great looking card,I would cover the top part where the #'s
and info is and just know it's a 10 to me!

I would keep it in the SGC holder. It looks very good in it. IMO
