A lot of products have these now. Player collectors love them since they are 1 of 1's. I sold a Bowman Chrome Wes Welker plate a little while ago. I was hoping to just to get $15 for it, but got an offer to end early for around $25. So I set it up as buy it now for that price and someone else bought it. Then as soon as it ended, I got two messages from other buyers that wanted it and wanted to contact the new buyer. Long story short, I learned there is a market for these and you shouldn't end auctions early!

As far as the colors, hopefully someone knowledgeable about printing can jump in, but I believe there are 3-4 plates required for the printing process - hence the different colors with each being a 1 of 1.

4-colors are required for C (Cyan), M (Magenta), Y (Yellow), K (Black) printing. 1 plate is produced for each run a card make through the press - 1x for each color.

Thanks for the info,so when you see a 1/1,there's really another 3 of them.
So having all four really is 1/1.
