Pinnacle has done a nice job displaying the Sounder Type collection on their website:

I don't know if I agree that it's "one of the finest type collections ever to be assembled" but it's fun to look through the photos and descriptions. It will be interesting to see how it fares in the current environment although I see some of the bigger coins are already "on hold".

There are some VERY nice coins in that collection. There's a few I'd love,
but I can't afford any right now.

easy to guess what kind of coin it was, at least it should be.
as for the toning comment by fc, I didn't view all of the coins, but my impression is that Pinnacle's photos do not necessarily represent the coins 100% true to form in hand...as images by mgoodm3 likely would do to a much greater degree. I recall the appearance of the 1792 half disme and think the photos don't do that coin the justice it deserves. Nicer in hand by far

hey John, yes I did! I asked on Friday if it was ever put up for sale that they give me a call. That was the third day in a row I drooled over that coin. Two or three hours later, I was at JJ Teaparty's table looking for a coin for my type set and the dealer called with good news. I couldn't write that check fast enough!

spending time with my brother is always the highlight
his collection very much. He has often placed images in his sets that more closely reflect
their true appearance. Pinnacle, although a fine dealer, often over hypes their images.
Just my opinion, but there isn't one coin that I would label as questionable in tone.
As to not having any gold, I would suspicion there may be a number of surprises in that collection
not displayed in the PCGS Registry, or of those for sale at Pinnacle. As they say in sports, he has
a deep bench with many from other TPG's and is still able to maintain a solid presence on our
Registry. He is to be commended for his assemblage of such wonderful examples.

There may be a lot of collections that did not need to be sold 4 months ago that may be for sell in the near future.
